38.3.1 If the non-striker is out of his/her ground at any time from the moment the ball comes into play until the instant when the bowler would normally have been expected to release the ball, the non-striker is liable to be Run out.
But as a rule of thumb, don’t leave your crease till the ball has been released. It’s easy.

Ah nice! I’m closing in on 125 Sydney Shires games.
Been well – exceedingly busy. Yourself?

Surprising the NRL haven’t made an announcement about Talatau Amone yet either.

Jokingly, I’ve told players I umpire if there is a mankad I’m going home
But seriously, it’s not hard for batsmen to stay in their crease. Pretty straight forward and the rule is black and white.

Interesting you don’t know too much about him – in 2 years at St Helens he has won 2 comps and a Challenge Cup, and has them top of the table again. Took Townsville Blackhawks to the GF in their first QCup season and has served as an NRL assistant.
To me he also fits the Dogs’ needs – understands development & pathways having coached at every level and seems to know how to motivate given St Helens’ success.

Was wondering where you sat on this TB…
I don’t mind Potter, but if I was a Dogs fan, I’d be hopeful of Kristian Woolf getting the gig. Thoughts on him?

Really only came here to check AJ was staying true to form and tipping the Raiders to beat Penrith… 😂

I just want to see consistency… When Jaydn Su’a gets sin binned twice in two weeks but Nelson Asofa-Solomona somehow avoids it for taking a bloke’s head off… Need I say more?
Experts Roar: Should the sin bin be used more, less or the same?
Titans vs Broncos doesn’t have the Dragons in it though! 😂
NRLW 2021: Existing teams dominant as semi-finals approach
If you’re not cheering for Kezie on GF day I’ll be disappointed mate.

Broncos – Dragons GF on the way… At least we might win something this year 😂

Well it wasn’t me Baz, that much I know for sure.
Hope you’re well mate!
The Roar’s NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 1
Weird not being here this year!
Some cracking games coming up this weekend, but as always, Dragons to win. That’s all I’ll offer 😂
The Roar’s NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 1
Compare the pair:
Latrell Mitchell – sends Joey Manu into next week. Grade 2.
Tyrell Fuimaono – performs a hip drop tackle. Grade 3.
The judiciary is confusing. Not to say I don’t think Fuimaono’s tackle wasn’t punishable – it was… But Grade 3 was excessive for the type of contact it was.
There was a similar tackle in Monday night’s trial between Canterbury and Newcastle, but because the player tackled got up and continued playing, it wasn’t penalised, yet alone charged and suspended.
Work that one out for me.
Five matches is all it costs a repeat offender who smashes an opponent’s knee
What this shows more than anything is that the Dragons haven’t learnt.
In 2019, we signed Paul McGregor to a new deal despite there being no interest in his services from elsewhere and him not proving anything to suggest the new deal was a good call… We all know how that ended.
I’m not saying Griffin’s situation is exactly the same – he of course had the option. But to invoke it before the season start’s after a 12th placed finish last year is one of the craziest decisions the club has made… There is, once again no interest for his services from elsewhere and all the young guys at the club are locked into deals, so it’s not as if they were all about to pack up and leave because there is no coach.
This move makes no sense and no one will convince me otherwise.
What Griffin extension says about Dragons' intentions and why it actually makes sense
The way I see this year… It’s a win-win.
Either, Griffin can coach all the youngsters and we make the 8… Or Griffin can’t coach, we finish bottom 4 and he is sacked by the end of the year.
'We just want to see you give your all': How fans of St George Illawarra Dragons think
TPJ could be one of the more interesting guys to follow this year… He was erratic at the Broncos, but seemed to find his feet in a structured system at the Panthers.
That to me says this all comes down to how much he respects Gould and Barrett… I reckon Gould is the key to him playing well… And by well, I mean consistently doing the little things right and not just making three big runs and a big hit per game.
Million Dollar Man: Can Tevita Pangai Jr finally put it all together at the Bulldogs?
Can see Penrith just falling away a touch this year – back-to-back grand finals is enough to take it out of anyone, and I reckon their antics post GF might just have a few teams fired up to face them.
Not only that, but don’t discredit how big the losses of Kurt Capewell & Paul Momirovski are… Two great defensive players on the edge. Penrith’s game was built on defence.

Unfortunately not mate re articles. Unable to with new job.

Comments yes definitely! Hope you’re well Paul.
NRL 2022 Radar: Knights need higher quantity of Ponga quality to avoid mid-table mediocrity
The Dragons are a real interesting one this year – the way I see it, it’s a win-win. We either make the finals, or have a new coach for 2023 when it’s confirmed Griffin is no good.
I’m not so sure Sullivan will start… Griffin seems to have a liking for Amone, and Sullivan’s ability to play hooker could see him at 14. I really don’t want Mbye to be there, and given Sullivan has a new three-year deal, can’t see Mbye starting ahead of either Sullivan or Amone frankly.
Don’t hate Bird at lock… Not sure what it means for JBD though. Ramsay will start on the wing, but he better perform very strongly… Both Feagai brothers will push for first grade this year.
As for the hype… Sloan is special. He will. Sullivan will if he plays.

Pearce is a massive loss, but I reckon Sasagi is the guy who will be there by the end of the year. Unreal talent if he can stay fit… Think the Knights will be a fairly middling team as they were last year though.

Wouldn’t say back – just couldn’t resist commenting on this one. Get fired up about the ol’ mankad.
I still read a fair bit around here but fulltime role elsewhere prevents me from contributing at all.
I’m sure I’ll be around sporadically commenting when you least expect it during the Ashes & Indian tour haha
