Out of the 5 listed, Finegan for mine was 4th or 5th. Cockbain, Fardy were both better. Willio was the best in my book.

Greatest XV: 'Everyone yelled Owen Finegan! World Champion! And I drank out of the Cup'

I dont know about this one. NFJ had a crisper, long range pass on both sides . His flyhalf seemed to have more time. Also, NFJ was a better leader. Can I say also, I would not have Mortlock as the chosen 13. There was no one better than Little with Horan feeding him. Also rate Moon better than Tune. Regardless, they were all world class players. It says plenty that not one back (9-15) from the past 2 decades have been chosen.

Greatest XV: 'Like reffing in a train station': Sublime skills and scathing sledges sum up Australia's top No.9

No Gilly, he has been given too many chances. Many others would not have even made the Ashes tour.

All Australian judging panel….obviously it must have been in the spirit of the game

'Mockery', 'broken game', 'laughing stock': Rugby rages as red card reversal clears Owen Farrell for World Cup

I read this articles headline and that’s as far as I got. How ridiculous. Two different codes: men and women: happened 20 years ago. People are so desperate to be part of this great story about a terrific bunch of sporting heroes, who happen to be woman, making all Australians proud, regardless of the outcome. Yet, I hope they give the Poms a hiding. Why, well because there Poms and they’re the enemy tonight.

'Still haunts me': Matildas 'true believer' Mat Rogers hoping they'll avenge 'brutal' 2003 RWC moment

Skelton captain…… really? I don’t get this one. I’m glad Hooper and Cooper are gone. Pity White has been retained. Why didn’t EJ make the changes earlier.

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

See ya Hoops. Thanks for ….. mmmmm.

Brett, Eddie is safe. AR will not remove him at this stage. He came with a licence to do whatever it took. I believe he started well, but once the test season started his statements and treatment of journos questions, have made him a fool. He was never going to be the Messiah we were looking for. Maybe the new CEO should give him some advise. Hold on, Little Phil is still in his apprenticeship. Australia Rugby is the JOKE across all sporting codes (male and female)…. It is dying a slow death and Little Phil, Eddie and the AR Board are complicit, as are those who have, and had influence at state and national level over the past 20 years.

Wallabies fans appear comfortable with 0 and 4 – but some obvious questions remain

Yes… his players are overjoyed he continuously looks a fool and therefore so does the team. There’s an old saying, “under promise and over deliver”. But not clever Eddie, he’ll give the team and fans false hope. The only problem is, he’ll lose the players to opportunities off-shore ( except the b graders) and fans will support a more honest team such as the Matilda’s. Those at school boy level will continue to be encouraged to play elsewhere.

Wallabies fans appear comfortable with 0 and 4 – but some obvious questions remain

I’m a fan and I’m not comfortable with 0-4. What makes me most uncomfortable is Eddie’s BS that the team will beat the ABs and win the WC.
I would be more comfortable, if Eddie stated that he was building a great team for the British Lions and the 2027 World Cup. This year was simply the start of the rebuild.

Wallabies fans appear comfortable with 0 and 4 – but some obvious questions remain

The ABs gave the Wallabies a two try advantage at half time. Yet still came out and won. For me it says 2 things; ABs depth will likely put them in the final and the Wallabies are shamefully average and will likely continue to be a disappointment to Aussie rugby fans.

The Wrap: Wallabies and All Blacks emerge from ‘dead rubber’ with plenty to take to the World Cup

My takeaway before the World Cup is the ABs have 40+ players who will challenge any team in the competition. The Wallabies will struggle to make the quarters with their best 23.
Regardless of combination, our 9 & 10 are incredibly weak.
Without a good 9 & 10 the team is destined to disappoint. All WC winners have had world class half and fly.

The Wrap: Wallabies and All Blacks emerge from ‘dead rubber’ with plenty to take to the World Cup

Great call. Tough, uncompromising but unfortunately his values won’t align the the current captain.

The best coach for the Australian cricket team was at the Ashes but in the commentary box

Not sure about the Tate/Gordon combo. But is far better than the White/Foley option. Good to see McReight return.
Tate as captain shows a real lack of leadership options. When we last won the World Cup, there were at least 5 players suitable for the captaincy. Sad reflection of where we are. I believe the ABs will rewards many players who won’t make the World Cup touring team.

'You love your country or you don't': Tate's defiant moment that proved he had fire and desire to lead Wallabies

Agree mate..It’s about leadership at the top. Also, Hooper (who I rate below Pocock and much lower than Smith) gave it his all every game, but rarely came up with the chocolates. McCaw and Carter gave it the same, but were part of a winning group. It’s easy when your on top.

Perform or perish: Fit-again Wallaby adds to Bledisloe selection headaches

I think you’re dreaming Christy…but how good would it be to have Link back. But why would he when the Chairman and CEO will continue to hamper the game. Eddie is coaching simply for the money and media attention. Why would anyone want to coach the national team in this code.

The town planner who can fix Australian rugby: Wallabies great who RA, Eddie must hope will take key role

Qualify, I am a huge fan of QC. His hands and feet movements are unbelievable; but they have seen better days. I agree with your comments about McReight and his lacking of the physical side. But, like QC, Hooper is not able to keep up with the physical side and we have seen more than enough, when the physical side comes to him, he makes little impact. Hooper should move on. QC hand over to Carter Gordon over the first couple of rounds of the World Cup. White shouldn’t even sit on the bench

Perform or perish: Fit-again Wallaby adds to Bledisloe selection headaches

Having the trio of QC, White and Hooper on the field for the first 60 minutes will be what weakens the Wallabies. All three are at the twilight of their respective careers and have become slow, predictable and ineffective.

Perform or perish: Fit-again Wallaby adds to Bledisloe selection headaches

Can someone tell me without emotion, bias or vindictiveness, why is the Reds not getting any new blood. Even ex Reds are moving to other states. Why is this

Eddie, Eddie , Eddie…it will be a bloodbath for the Wallabies. The AB’s will score 20-30 points in the last 20 minutes of the game. So, regardless of early pressure, it will be another embarrassing moment in Australian rugby. I wish they would learn to stop talking themselves up before meeting the All Blacks, as it never ends well. Hooper as captain will also end poorly. Slow and ineffective.
Can I also ask/beg…..take Sonny Bill and Justin Harrison off the commentary team. Embarrassing and creepy.

'Fancy ourselves against New Zealand': Eddie excited for 'highlight' of year, says Bledisloe result won't define RWC

They have to stop relying on 4-5 players. Bring Nessar into the 11. Keep Marsh and make a call on Warner. My call would be to flick him for possibly Green.

Selections aside, Australia can regain Ashes with tactical tweaks to negate England bats and combat Wood’s fire

Well done Tahs. Meanwhile back at the Reds…….. silence is deafening.
Surely a backline revamp is needed. Props are grade standard only and the locks are the same.
How many were picked for the Wallaby squad. That tells a story. Whilst revamping the team, do the same for the management and Board.
Give Les Kiss a fighting chance.
A known fact…. The Wallabies do well when the reds are strong.

I agree with Wilson. QC should move to the bench. White and Wright should go back and play club rugby to improve speed and skill. Hooper should also sit on bench. The Wallabies under 20 team had a couple of good strong centres. Could one of the partner Kerevi.

'Why is Quade running this team?': All Blacks great doubles down on selection issue, Fozzie says Eddie is 'right'

The game I saw last night isn’t reflective of the ratings in this piece.

Poor game by 50% of the team. Slipper and AAT great scrummaging but were quiet around the field.

Same could be said for the two locks. Great line outs and scrums but lack danger in attack.

McReight was involved in all things in general play. He was a pest and slowed Argies down at breakdowns. He had more impact than Hooper has in the past 18 months. I hope EJ doesn’t have the inclination to bring Hooper back.

I didn’t see much of Holloway outside the line out. Was he replaced at all.

Rob V was hot and cold. No real threat with the ball or in defence. But best we have at this stage.

What is two out, too slow and very predictable. Anything going for him is his box kicks. Tate McDermott brought more speed and danger when he came on.

QC still has the best pass in the country, but seems to suffer from a lack of confidence. He gives it his all, but just doesn’t seem happy on the paddock.

Kerevi needs more time on the field. He looks out of shape and 2nd guessing. This is likely due to his centre partner going off.

Carter Gordon needs more time. He is a real threat, fast and dangerous.

The two wingers are our best players. Dynamic, strong, fast and keen to get involved. They worry all opposition wingers.

Tom Wright had a shocker. There have been better players all season.

Wallabies player ratings: Wright's rocks and diamonds nature leave 15 jersey open for RWC, winger's perfect night

EJ, you and your team were outsmarted, outplayed, & out-energised. We will go into the first World Cup game having lost all lead up games. You need to be rid of the old and bring him some new spark. Surely Tom Wright has had his last game after last nights poor performance. The Wallabies had very little coordination and leadership on the field. Who is the captain, as I thought it was slipper. A very small opportunity to showcase rugby has been lost by a very amateurish, unprofessional group. The pre-game was cringe to say the least. Sonny Bill makes a 10 year old look intelligent. The sight of the new CEO sitting next to the Governor General define the night for me. Another example of a position filled by someone who is undeserving due to lack of skill and experience. RA you are forcing loyal, lifelong rugby fanatics to other codes.
