Liam Lawson seems to be doing ok Ben?

Sainz storms to Monza pole at Italian GP

Tim, meaning that a lower grade is getting the same opportunities as those above them. Life is full of disappointments is it not Tim? So if you miss the finals, well that is just the way it is. Life will get harder so better to be ready for it. If you don’t make a team, do not reach a final etc then do you treat a 10, 12 or 14 year old with kid gloves or do you make them realise that not everything will go their way?

That local footy 'every team plays finals' drama is an absolute farce - but not for the reason everyone thinks

If they did not implement “inclusivity” there would be no issue with a log jam of finals games. Please explain the purpose of those with lesser ability being aligned with those of superior ability? Is this so their feelings won’t get hurt? What is exactly behind all this? I must be “hard right” as it appears to be the herding of people into one large group of sameness, not individuals. It is not up to the “adults” to equalise children/teenagers it is up to the kids themselves to have ambition and become the best they can be. Thats how it works isn’t it?

Good summary there Ben. It is a shame most rugby fans are just rugby fans. It is a bit like the guy who buys the same carton of beer each week for his entire life!

Dutch Grand Prix talking points: Everyone's becoming a Verstappen fan

We won’t really know if the game against the Boks was a true indicator of form for a few more weeks, if it goes in a similar manner against France first up then there should be some concern. If that were to happen it would be a huge risk to stick with the same players.

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

You’re talking a lot of sense Andrew. That sniping from halfback is a great asset, more so than the dreadful box kicking, which is why I like Roigard.

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

Yes, if the All Blacks are beaten by France, do you stick with the tried and true?

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

I can see you are a rigid thinker Jacko. Why not speculate on an alternative? The point behind the Robertson comment was to ask what an instinctive thinker would do as opposed to a conservative thinker. If the old hands are playing when/if the All Blacks are knocked out then maybe it wasn’t a bad idea to bring in some youth?

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

If the All Blacks get knocked out in the quarters, semis that record will be forgotten quickly. It would be ironical if Eddie goes further than Foster.

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

I did agree with you there Guess but the opportunity to take a punt is an enticing prospect.

emailed to you Ben.

Spot on Andrew

Be brave Foster!

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

Yes I have Ben. I’ll send article to you.

I hope Mclaren does well after I have become a fan of the late Bruce Mclaren. Shame an article I wrote about him didn’t get published recently, would be good if there were more F1 fans on here.

Congratulations Stuart on your article, someone brave enough to express the truth. Until feminists start supporting matches financially they cannot advocate for equal pay. I believe the WNBA in the States is still to turn a profit after 25 years of existence and is supported by the NBA, where were all the feminists?

Australian women calling for real change in football should start it by turning up to A-League matches

Saying “it is the best thing” was just trying to find a glimmer of hope Doctor. Rather than the opposite view.

'It stings, it hurts ... we got exposed': All Blacks alarm bells ringing after Springboks dish out worst EVER defeat

People can go two ways here, either be all doom and gloom-Fosters fault, no chance now etc or realise that this could be the best thing to happen to the All Blacks, played with a man sent off etc. Maybe the good start to the year made them think they were unbeatable, but who did they beat anyway? They won’t be so complacent now! I’m going with the latter, chin up doomsayers!

Thanks Ray.

Thank you mzilikazi (what does that mean anyway?)

Probably the best comment here Doctor.

Eales and Johnson are the locks, Smith is the flanker Dusty.

Cookie, please take this with the goodwill intended, from someone I know.
“My ex is blind. He always was fine with sayings involving blindness and used them himself whenever he had a chance. He would say to people when he spoke to them on the phone “nice to see you again”. What he wanted more than anything else was for people to forget he was blind and treat him like anybody else, and he thought embracing sayings like “the blind leading the blind” would help people feel like they didn’t have to watch what they had to say and help them get beyond being aware of his blindness. He even practiced body language (which did not come naturally to him because he has been blind since birth) to help people feel more comfortable because they wouldn’t get conflicting visual signals. For instance, it was more natural to him to turn his ear towards someone he was talking to but because he had been told people don’t feel like you’re paying attention unless you look at them, he would make an effort to point his eyes their direction. We were around a lot of blind people while we were married and I could usually tell whether they were totally blind or partially blind by whether their eyes focused on who they were talking to or were just aimed in their general direction.”

Harry, how do you switch from “gonzo” writing to analytical? A talented man.
