Super Round continues at AAMI Park with the Melbourne Rebels looking to make good on their home ground advantage against the in-form Hurricanes. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 7:30pm (AEDT).
The Hurricanes ended up blowing out the Reds last week after a cagey first half, with the final score ending at 13-47. On the other side, the Rebels started their campaign with a loss to the Western Force.
After showing promising signs, taking a 24-10 lead late in the first half, the Rebels ended the match down 34-27.
The Hurricanes have brought in Riley Higgins onto the bench for his first run-through in the tournament this year. They’ve made three changes from the team that trounced the Reds last week in Brisbane; Tyrel Lomax and Brayden Iose taking starting positions.
The Rebels have made two changes to their starting lineup, with Trevor Hosea starting in place of Josh Kemeny and Joe Pincus takes the fullback spot from Nick Jooste.
With temperatures hovering around 20 degrees and minimal wind, the conditions are perfect for a clear night in Melbourne.
